Careers – Senior Instructional Designer – Position

Senior Instructional Designer - with Supply Chain - Experience - 5 Month Contract

We are looking for an amazing Sr. Instructional Designers for a five month contract position with the potential for longer term engagements for the ideal candidates.

The Sr. Instructional Designer will use learning theory and technical knowledge to create an educational experience for learners that successfully teaches them new information or improves their skill level in a new application. The design and development process includes assessing learner needs and styles, defining learning objectives, creating the learning environment, supporting the implementation of the training, and evaluating the effectiveness of the curriculum. Designers work closely with colleagues, managers and SME’s to determine needs throughout the design process.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with subject matter experts, develop new and existing courses for our clients, particularly for large IT ERP implementations
  • Lead the needs analysis, design, development and evaluation of training initiatives in all media
  • Using ADDIE framework, create facilitator and participant guides, training data and supporting materials for instructor-led training IT training sessions
  • Transform learning content into storyboard format for e-learning
  • Manage day-to-day project activities
  • Lead project meetings and ensuring key milestones are met
  • Maintain the necessary project documentation and records
  • Proactively resolve project issues
  • Participate in other education projects, as required
  • You must be located in the Greater Toronto Area and be prepared to work onsite.

Skills:

  • Experience facilitating webinars for train the trainer sessions would be an asset
  • General understanding of the supply chain industry would be an asset
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Instructional Technologies, Education, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience developing training for ERP systems
  • 7 + years experience leading needs assessments, designing, developing and evaluating learning initiatives based on key adult learning principles
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize data and identify patterns during the needs assessment process
  • Experience designing learning initiatives in both traditional classroom and distance learning environments
  • A Bachelors degree in Education, with a specialization or experience in Adult learning
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to execute requirements of the role in a primarily virtual environment
  • Personal effectiveness:  working independently with minimal guidance/instruction, remaining flexible and open to change, and professional.
  • A high level of proficiency with MS office

Project Manager

We are looking for amazing people for two contract positions (8 months) with the potential for full time employment for the ideal candidates.

As a Project Manager at euphoria, you will engage with talented and motivated professionals including engineers, designers, strategists, and architects to execute unique, creative solutions for our clients. You will be a leader – driving action, solving difficult project issues, and taking ownership of project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with clients to understand their business needs as well as identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Facilitate effective team meetings: stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Work with the Product Owner and the Project Team to develop and manage a project backlog.
  • Manage sprint backlog and key project elements – risks, scope, budgets, and schedules.
  • Act as the liaison between the client and the Project team to ensure user stories/acceptance criteria is clearly defined, understood, and implemented successfully.
  • Synthesize info into concise action items – draft software requirements, user stories, use- cases, etc.
  • Uncover and remove team impediments which prevent the team from achieving their shared goals.
  • Tracks projects against delivery metrics and prepare client summary reports and other client communications, as required.
  • Manage product scope and control scope creep during the development sprints.
  • Work with the delivery team to provide estimates and design solutions.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project and team risks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and offer constructive suggestions for change.
  • Build the team’s passion for delivering value to customers using Agile Project Delivery.
  • Apply excellent communications skills, creativity, and practical knowledge to benefit our clients and Architech.

Skills:

  • Must love working as part of a team to build great solutions
  • In depth knowledge of one or more Agile frameworks, preferably for Scrum, Lean and/or XP.
  • Associate Certificate in Business Analysis and/or Certified Scrum Master (preferred).
  • 5+ years delivering interactive, data-intensive web, mobile and/or cloud applications in a Project Management and Scrum Master role.
  • Experience with iterative development methodologies and continuous delivery practices.
  • Ability to rationalize design decisions in a clear and objective manner.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to synthesize information into succinct, concise, and logical written materials (client summaries and reports).
  • Proficiency in Process / Workflow analysis and use-case documentation.
  • Must be an effective team leader –  able to motivate teams and guide them through impediments and/or conflict.
  • Excellent business presentation and facilitation skills, including Agile retrospectives.

Responsibilities:

  • 2+ or more years of experience in software engineering
  • Work experience and demonstrable skills in the latest front-end technologies, specifically:
  • JavaScript: Angular, React, and/or Node (MEAN FullStack)
  • Standards compliant HTML5
  • CSS3 and CSS pre-processors such as LESS, Sass, or Stylus
  • Extensive experience with a variety of design tools such as: InDesign, Illustrator, Sketch, Flinto, Atomic, and InVision
  • Software development experience including:
  • Use of MVP concepts found in modern web-based applications
  • A basic knowledge of working with Object Oriented Programming, design patterns, and web services
  • Experience in concepting and prototyping

Education:
